Background[]
Tanasis was born into a loving family. His father was a farmer, and his mother was a stay-at-home mother. He had a close bond with his sister Alisa, a bond which hasn't shown any signs of weakness to this day. In all, Tanasis lead a fairly normal life. However, this happiness came to an abrupt end. Several years ago, his parents were murdered by the Scourge during the first Scourge Invasion while he and Alisa watched, which traumatised them both for years. Without any income, Tanasis would usually resort to theft to feed both him and Alisa. He knew this was wrong, but he felt as if he had no choice. One day, he came across a paladin who Tanasis tried to steal from, but was unsuccessful. He told the paladin of his plight and was taken to the Cathedral, where he was told of the Holy Light, which would forgive him if he repented. Tanasis did so, and felt renewed. With this new determination, he decided to take up the path of the Light, becoming an impressive paladin after several years training. He felt a happiness he hadn't felt in years, which then went to Alisa. Then, a few years ago, the Scourge invaded Stormwind once again. He took shelter in the Cathedral, along with many other residents of the city. He came across the night elf Shinodan, the leader of the Peace Keepers, with whom he fled to Darnassus with. After the end of the invasion, Tanasis resumed his paladin training, but the thought of protecting the people of Stormwind by himself felt an almost impossible task. He sought out Shinodan and took up a position in the Peace Keepers, where he has remained until this day.
