As you walk into the old round room of Ironforge Archive, the smells of burning oil and dusty paper surround you quickly. You sneeze, apologize before everyone, hear 'Bless ya!', and go on to the books. So... let's see. 'The complete story of Gnomish world-conquering' by Kernie Crackspringle - no, not the aright one. 'Beasts and boomsticks: A hunter's handbook' by Corgan Wallbang... Wrong again. Aw, here it is! 'Clans and families of Khaz Modan', volume 121, part 1. The Icewall Family. You open the book, and see a face of a dwarf. The image seems winking at you in the jumping light of braziers and candles. You blink your eyes and shake your head. Maybe that fifth mug at Bruuk's was unnecessary, after all?..

Name[]

Stram Togan Icewall, heir to Icewall's branch of Farmountain clan.

Physical Traits[]

He looks like a dwarf, obviously. Short, bald, though with a big plait and carefully braided beard. His hair is fair and brown to some degree. A long scar runs through his whole chest - a result of an unsuccessful hunt. Almost always seen in Mountaineer's uniform, but has an immovable passion for his old trustworthy brown hat.

Race and Class[]

Male Dwarven Hunter

Guild[]

Mountaineers Third Brigade

Occupation[]

A Jack-of-all-trades and a master of one. He's a soldier to the toes, he's a dwarven soldier, which's even more important, but! What's a soldier without a bunch of auxiliary skills? Therefore, he's a tracker, fisherman, cook, miner, skinner... Even a marksman of some sort. Of course, most of his platoon shoots much better than him, but... Alas, he can shoot the second time if he missed. One known fact - during the Duskwood operation he used up ammo of the whole squad, and got his weekly portion of ale removed for that deed of undoubted heroism, which was wrongly considered a disaster tactical-wise by Captain Flareaxe.

Family Background[]

Belongs to one of the many branches of Farmountain's clan, which, in order, has some common relatives with Bronzebeards and, obviously, stands close to the throne. Many of it's members have a place in Senate and hold a good deal of political power in their hands. But! Icewall family never touched the politics, nor it will do in the nearest couple of centuries. First records in Archives were written around three hundreds years ago, and it is a last name of the family's eldest known member Balin Ice..l in the book of enlisted in army in the year of King -298, half a century before The War of Three Hammers. It is unknown if this brave dwarf belonged to the Icewall or the Iceveil family, for the list was clearly written by a not so sober chap, who spilled his beer right on the Stram's possible ancestor's last name. But anyhoo. Icewall family is considered one of the 'lower' branches - the ones who aren't of noble and aristocratic origin. Their closest relatives are Stonewall family, another 'low' branch of Farmountains. Both families have mixed feelings towards each other, ranging from close friendship and even marriages to bitter hate resulting in deaths and injuries during brawls and fights.
