Name[]
Riva Dalji
Physical Traits[]
Dalji has icy blue skin, despite not being an Ice Troll. Her skin, however is almost like theirs in the sense that it is bordering a powdery white. Her hair is azure and in dreadlocks, and after being put into locks they’ve been tied and rest upon her breasts. She has bracer-like-things which she places on her hair. Dalji is 6’7’’ and has piercing blue eyes. She has no visible scars.
Race and Class[]
Dalji is a Darkspear Troll who is first and foremost a Shaman and has some skills at being a Potion Doc, too.
Guild[]
A Cunning Plan
Occupation[]
Dalji doesn’t really have an occupation so to speak. She hunts for her food and gets water from the lakes that are around the barren landmass that is Durotar. However, she occasionally sells her herbs and potions to passer-bys who are in need.
Family[]
Ramakeele – Mother, alive and well. Aging peacefully in a small hut within Durotar.
Dinari – Father, alive but dying. Was cursed by Zanzil whilst fleeing, Ramakeele is tending to him.
Manu – Brother, alive and well. Betrayed family and stayed on the Echo Isles to work for Zanzil. Manu is Ye’s twin. Third born.
Ye – Sister, alive and well. Stayed on the island with her brother ‘to work for Zanzil’, although she is really just keeping an eye on him and hopes to make him see sense and redeem him. Ye is Manu’s twin. Second born.
Gimbya – Sister, murdered. Brother murdered her in a fit of rage some time ago. First born. Countless other relatives – Murdered by Murloc’s.
Background[]
Early Life[]
Dalji used to belong to a large family (more info in the section below) of Potion Masters, Witch Doctor’s and Potion Doctor’s until the Sea Witch invaded her home. By the time they came she was eleven and didn’t completely understand what was going on. She just clung to her eldest Sister’s hand as she stroked her hair and told her everything would be okay. The day came when they would escape, her brother filled her in on what to do and they made their bid for freedom. Unbeknownst to Thrall, whilst they were escaping a large group of Murloc’s were on their way to destroy their plans… But Dalji’s family sacrificed themselves to save their friends and family. Their potion enhancements and knowledge of voodoo was too great for the Murloc’s who eventually died, but sadly most of her family did aswell.
Mid Life[]
Some time later, Dalji had made her home with her family on the Echo Isles. It was a happy time, she had just turned fifteen whilst her twin brother and sister were now eighteen and her eldest sister was twenty two. Her parents were in their late forties and everything seemed to be perfect, their life was peaceful… Until Zanzil betrayed the Darkspear’s. Dalji noticed that her friends had stopped speaking to her. She was confused by this but decided it was down to them growing up and going through puberty and what have you that was making them go off in a strop, but she was wrong. Her brother who had been training as a Berserker had stopped training and was becoming more and more distant from the family as his comrades became more and more distant from him.
At this time, Dalji’s eldest sister was teaching her and Ye about spirits and nature. Dalji was very interested in this and decided that it would be the route she would take as she grew older. Dalji was a ‘natural’ at this subject and was learning even faster than her sister, Ye. She soon felt that something wasn’t right with her Brother and consulted Gimbya about this. Gimbya looked shocked at the statement and told her little sister that it was probably nothing, that the spirit’s were playing a prank and such… But she was lying. She, too had picked up on the fact that something was wrong.
That night, she spoke to her brother and asked him if he was okay and such… But this seemed to tick Manu off. He didn’t want consoling, it made him feel weak… And as a result, he flew off his handle and exploded into a fit of rage before pummelling his sister as if he were tenderising steak, he proceeded to casually chuck her in the water and left her.
Whilst this took place, Zanzil just happened to be watching. He praised the troll on his strength and his lack of empathy and offered Manu a place in his growing army – without being possessed. He was quick to agree. In a few weeks the Troll’s fled from the island as the army grew too strong, Dalji and her mother fled across the ocean and built a hut in the mountains of Durotar whilst her father, brother and sister stayed behind.
Her Father and Sister were posing as members of Zanzil’s army but were plotting as to what they should do about Manu. Ye decided that Dinari would be better off caring for Dalji than her and that she and her brother had a better relationship than her father with him. Dinari agreed and fled with several other trolls but was hexed before he could get all the way back. The hex kicked in when he got back to land and came down with a fever. His wife found him and took him back to their hut and cared for him, and upon further inspection it would appear that there was a seed of corruption inside him that would eventually explode.
Zanzil was furious at this and decided to perform checks as to who wasn’t really allied with him. All the trolls he happened to check were allied to him, even the ones with free will… Except for Dalji’s sister, Ye. Zanzil became furious upon discovering this and tore down Manu with a flint that was lying about. Manu then dominated Ye’s mind and she became a mindless drone. Eventually, Manu healed up but was left with a scar and still has his free will.
Clan Background[]
Long ago in the depths of Stranglethorn was a troll. He was alone from a few minutes after being born and until the day he died. The Troll’s name was Wanjala Skullpike. Wanjala was often sought after by many clans whose men had fallen ill or injured, for Wanjala was greatly skilled at nature magic and for the ailments that his magic couldn’t fix he could heal with his Potions.
Wanjala was one day required to help out a clan who was also known for being great Potion Doc’s and Seer’s, he had nothing against them but they were envious of his skills - so when the Tuskblade’s called for his assistance he was happy to oblige.
Upon reaching the temple which the Tuskblade’s inhabited, he marched to the top where the supposedly sick leader was resting. He picked up his bag filled with all types of vials, tubes and herbs and started mixing potions and the elements together to create his potions when the light that filled the room vanished. The entrance had been sealed off, as had the windows. There was a flicker of light as the torches that lined the room lit up and a troll stepped out of the Shadows.
It was their leader, Oja Tuskblade. He kicked Wanjala’s vials away and tied him up, tortured him and demanded that he told him. Unfortunatly for Oja, Wanjala wasn’t going to tell him his secrets to great potion brewing and as a result, Oja went in for the kill. However, he realised it was impossible, he was becoming stiff – as was Wanjala. One of the potions that Oja had knocked away could turn the person who inhaled its gasses into stone – and the gasses had filled the whole room.
Oja screamed and cursed ferociously as his life was drained away, but Wanjala just smiled. He knew he’d be back again some day.
This is the story told to every member of the Skullpike clan that was formed in honour of the fallen Potion Doc in the hope that one day, he would return reincarnated and save Azeroth from diseases such as the plague.
