Nocho del Sulsa.

Short of body, large of beard. Has a hat on his head, which is the logical place for a hat. This hat is part of Nocho, part of his person, his identity.
Nocho is followed by a cockroach, named Coocaracha. Or maybe the who follows who is the other way around.

Left them behind a long time ago, has no idea what happened to them. Coocaracha is his family now.

Having been denied the privilege to grow up as a normal gnome, surrounded by technology, he had to find other things to focus the typical gnomish obsession on. He found this outlet in trickery, magic, and illusion. Practicing sleight of hand ever since being a small gnome, he became very fast at a lot of things. Unfortunately, it's just tricks, and don't have much use in any combat sense.

Theft, arsonism, and destruction of property (his own property, which is even worse!). These crimes aren't exactly known to any law enforcement organisation, which is a good thing and worth keeping that way.

What game mechanics call stealth, Nocho calls 'Percepteev Selecteevness'. By this he means that people just don't notice him. It happens at the most unwanted moments, and usually not to his own advantage at all.
