Background[]

The Beginning:

Born and raised in Silvermoon City, Karomaz is the third child of Lord Azhrael and Lady Arialla Bloodwhisper. Karomaz was trained to become a mage in his early childhood, by his father and older brother, Malanaar. It was quite a suprise to everyone when Karomaz managed to master the arcane arts as a child. For long, Karomaz kept training his arcane magic until he was old enough to begin teaching young students in the arts of the arcane at the Falthrien Academy on Sunstrider Isle.

Karomaz was soon well known in Quel'Thalas for his amazing magical abilities and his charming personality. During his time teaching at the Academy, he met Selinnia, a gifted priest of the holy light. The two of them grew close to eachother and eventually got married and Selinnia later gave birth to their daughter, Ayrin. But the peace would not last. Karomaz's second brother, Alandiel, the only member of House Bloodwhisper who was not gifted with magic abilities, had developed a deep hatred for Karomaz and his popularity. One day, when Karomaz passed through Silvermoon, Alandiel managed to sneak up on Karomaz and wound him severely. Alandiel was imprisoned and Karomaz's wounds was treated, but another problem arrived at their doorstep. The Scourge.

From the middle of nowhere the Scourge began marching into Quel'Thalas, with Arthas leading the undead army. During the commotion, Alandiel managed to escape Silvermoon, however whatever happened to him then was unknown. Azhrael and Malanaar assisted in the battle, but it was soon reported that they had both been killed by the undead. Even though he was wounded, Karomaz joined the fight after he had gotten Selinnia and Ayrin to safety and managed to get to his the Bloodwhisper residence. However when he arrived everything was destroyed and he found the lifeless corpse of his mother among the ruins and no signs of his sister. In anger, Karomaz rushed towards the battle, but was easily defeated.

Karomaz barely managed to survive and woke up later in the ruined city. A couple of other elves found him and brought him to Sunstrider Isle, where they took care of him. When Karomaz was able to get to his feet, he learned that all of his arcane powers was gone. Karomaz spent quite a while in an attempt to relearn his arcane magic, but was unsuccesful. He began helping in whatever way he could, but weren't of much use, because he always kept worrying about what might have happened to the rest of his family.

One night he woke up after a horrible nightmare and began hearing a voice in his head. This voice introduced itself as Del'Loron and told that his spirit had somehow connected to Karomaz's soul. Del'Loron told that he was once a warlock in life and that he wanted to rest in peace. Hearing this, Karomaz saw a possible way of getting magical powers again. He made a deal with Del'Loron that if he would teach him the demonic arts, he would find a way to let him rest. Del'Loron accepted this deal and began teaching Karomaz the arts of the warlock and at the time Silvermoon City was rebuilt and the high elves, now blood elves became a part of the Horde, Karomaz was ready to journey into the world as a warlock.

The Journey through Azeroth:

Now wielding magical power once again, Karomaz left Quel'Thalas with his new companions, the imp, Abauri and the voidwalker, Kraggore. For a long time, he wandered through the lands of Azeroth only accompanied by his demonic minions and his mentor, Del'Loron within his soul. The other races of the Horde seemed to dislike him for being an elf and all avoided him, until another elf invited him to join a group of adventurers, calling themselves The Crimson Brethren, lead by a troll shaman by the name, Nu'jin. Slowly the brethren began to like him, just like people once did in Quel'Thalas before the invasion and he began reaching a high status among the brethren.

During these times, Karomaz grew stronger and he recieved a lot of new knowledge. He began showing great loyalty to his superiors, fierce enough for him to defend his friends and allies rather than saving his own life. Also he learned to respect all of the mortal races, even the races of the Alliance and even the Humans that had treated the elves badly in the past. He became one of the more powerful members of the brethren soon and lead them into battle side by side with Nu'jin and the other officers.

However, Karomaz would soon learn that his inner companion Del'Loron was not as friendly as he seemed to be. When Karomaz's demonic powers had become powerful enough for him to summon a felsteed and he had learned to control the succubus, Betlia, the felhunter, Phuunam and the felguard, Shaathun, so had Del'Loron regained his own dark powers and was able to control Karomaz, until the brethren helped him regain his mind. Del'Loron was infact a demon spirit who intented to make Karomaz help the Burning Legion.

Knowing this, Karomaz began doing whatever he could to get Del'Loron's spirit out of his soul and banish him. He managed to transfer Del'Loron spirit into the body of another demon and managed to defeat and banish him. However Del'Loron managed to cast a curse on Karomaz before he was banished. Nothing seemed to happen however, so Karomaz believed that the curse didn't have any dangerous effect. However he would soon learn that this was not the case. Now that he was rid of Del'Loron, wielded great dark powers and controlled a dreadsteed, he was ready to travel to the shattered world of Outland.

The Journey through Outland:

As Karomaz travelled through the shattered lands of Outland, he began feeling something growing within him. With the help of his friends and his own knowledge, he learned that the curse Del'Loron had cast was beginning to kill him from within.

Family Background[]

Consisting only of mages and priests, the Bloodwhisper family have always served Quel'Thalas with their great knowledge of magic. However the latest generation of the Bloodwhispers broke this tradition, as Karomaz's older brother, Alandiel, became a rogue, because of his hate for all things magical and later after the Invasion of the Scourge, Karomaz also broke this tradition, as he lost all his arcane powers and was given the choice between no power or dark power.

Most of the family also perished in the Invasion and those that survived was killed later because of Alandiel. Now the House Bloodwhisper is considered no more.

Personal Notes[]

- Have to stay in the shadows, since light easily destroys him

Current Status[]

After his battle against the Shattered Sun Offensive, he was imprisoned in a magical cell, preventing him from using his powers to escape. He was only spared because people believed that he could be saved from his corrupted state of mind and now he remains in his cell, chained to the walls of purifying magic, until the day his mind returns to what it once was.
