Jin'aya

Name

Jin'aya (roughly translates to "Leader of Red")

Physical Appearance

Jin'aya (~Yin-i-yah) Stands Tall for a Jungle troll, Nearlt 8ft from toes to crest, Her Skin is a healthy blue and she wears her shock of red hair as traditional crested braids. The braids themselves are tied with lengths of leather decorated with ivory beads.

Her tusks are large and pronounced for a female. She wears carved bone earrings, and her necklace is a length of leather securing a large raptor-tooth as a pendant.

Her shoulders and arms are marked with small scars from play-fights with Jub'jub, Her only other noticeable scar is deep and jagged. It runs from her hairline, past her temple to her jaw on the right-hand side of her face, When asked about it she often jokes that it serves as a reminder of the damage that can be done when you restring a bow- however her grin implys this is not strictly true.

Background

Jin'aya with Kaz'koa and Jub'jub

Aya ((meaning: Red, so named for her vivid hair and eyes)) was born on the Darkspear Islands nearly thirty years ago, She saw the arrival of the humans and battles against the murlocs. When Thrall and the orcs arrived and spoke of kalimdor she followed them with the majority of the Darkspear tribe to Kalimdor.

When the Trolls settled on Echo Isles Aya met her loyal companion Jub'jub. She was given the mocking nickname 'Jin' in ridicule of her command of the Raptors (a seemingly unsuitable occupation for a female).

After Zalazane claimed the Echo Isles Jin'aya helped to build Sen'jin Village and has Since roamed the barrens and Stonetalon Mountains with Jub'jub.

Long after leaving Sen'jin and during her travels in the barrens Jin'aya was ambushed by a great white lion, After they battled she managed to overpower the lion and in a single moment decided to spare its life. He since then has become a faithful companion to Jin'aya. she named him "Kaz'koa" roughly translating to 'Death-Cat' so named for his almost ghostly stealth when he hunts.

A Sentinel patrol Camp.

The following is a short extract from the RP story 'Jin'aya and Anansi'

Whilst in Ashenvale acting as a scout for the Warsong Offensive, Jinaya found herself spotted by a group of Sentinels. They pursued her through the forest, forcing her in

the end to take refuge in the mountains on the northernmost border. As she climbed she found a cavern within the mountain range. Jin'aya climbed in and waited, hidden in the shadows at the back, listening, straining to hear the sound of the pursuing sentinals.

Pressed to the back of the cave she finally heard what she had been dreading, Sentinel voices. She couldnt make out what was being said. Suddenly the strong clear voice of

the Captain called out across the mountain range.

"Troll! you are wounded and trapped, we have the cave surrounded. Come out and we may spa...."

The sentinal stopped speaking abruptly, there was an unusual sound almost a clicking noise. Jin'aya peered from behind the rock where she was hiding at the back of the cave. An ear-splitting scream rang-out as one of the sentinals appeared to be dragged out of view by something.

"Anansi! She has returned! retreat! RETREAT!" The sentinal captain grabbed the others nearby them and fled from sight.

Companions

Jin'aya is often accompanied by Hissk her Crimson snake whom she has owned since her days on the Darkspear Isles. This long-standing relationship is mirrored in her other choice of companion, another red skinned lizard and her ally of the hunt, Jub'jub. Her other hunting companion is Kaz'koa her great white lion.

Since Jin'aya took her position on the front line the great spider Anansi is her most frequent companion.
