Background

Ilithariús was the last born son of the wealthy Moonstrider family. Already at a young age he showed a big interest in the arcane arts and he was soon being taught the way of arcane magics by his grandfather, who was an important Ley-Keeper in the lands of Quel'Thalas. Several years onward the life of Ilithariús was devastated by the Scourge invasion of Silvermoon City. Ilithariús' father ordered the entire family to evacuate to the capital of the Kirin Tor, Dalaran. But only Ilithariús and his cousin, the wayward hunter, Bartholemew managed to escape Quel'Thalas. They watched their family fight the Scourge as they ran all they could to avoid the Scourge. As they reached Dalaran they tried to reach Archmage Antonidas, but the guards refused them to get an audience. The two elves stayed for a couple of days and then decided to go back and see if their family was alive. The journey back to Quel'Thalas was dangerous. They constantly had to keep a look out for the Scourge and always keep away from the roads and open areas. Once they reached Quel'Thalas they were greeted by their family and friends. By some kind of miracle the entire Moonstrider family had survived the invasion, but now they were victim to the hunger of arcane magic. Bartholemew left Ilithariús by his family and then he venture back into the wilds, where he claimed to belong.

Life went by for a couple of months, until Ilithariús started to notice a changing in his family's behaviour. They had begun to drain mana out of anything they could get their hands on. Ilithariús' grandfather warned them that such behaviour could have dire results but the family refused to listen and to avoid a move from the grandfather, they exiled him from Quel'Thalas. Ilithariús was shocked by the decision, but there was little he could do, so he watched in silence as his grandfather left their house and ventured to the lands of Stranglethorn Vale.

For there on it only went down for the family. One by one they all turned Wretched, but not Ilithariús. He didn't feel the hunger very much and didn't feel the need to feed. As they all turned so did Ilithariús personality change. He became more violent with his magics and he didn't think twice before he slayed a Wretched. One night when Ilithariús was reading he was interupted by his family. They had all gone Wretched and decided that he should be disposed of. Ilithariús faught valiantly, but he was outnumbered and he knew that he would run out of power at one point. But out of nowhere Bartholemew came and rescued Ilitharius out of the cluthces of his family. As they got away Ilithariús decided to wipe out his entire family in one spell. He began to manipulate the ley lines of Quel'Thalas and called forth a vast arcane storm that destroyed the Moonstrider house and left it only to be rubble and corpses. Bartholemew took Ilithariús with him to the wilds so that they could stay away from the Wretched and Scourge.

A few months onwards Ilithariús decided that it was time to venture back to Silvermoon. Unknown to the fact that they were now called Blood Elfs and that the Alliance had abandoned their race and of Prince Kael'thas betrayal, he ventured back. The sight he saw made him smile for the first time in months. Silvermoon was being rebuild and it all looked calm and sereen. But had noticed a change in his race. They fed on all sorts of mana and Horde emissaries were wandering the city. As he went to speak to Prince Kael, he was met by Regent Lord Lor'themar Theron, whos was the the new leader of the Blood Elves. Ilithariús was told the story by the Regent Lord and after that he ventured back in the city and tried to find himself a place to call home.

After a few years Ilithariús ventured to Booty Bay to find his long missed grandfather, but he was met with sorrow and tears as he was told that his grandfather had passed away due to an attack on Booty Bay. Ilithariús was devasted, now he only had Bart left to call kin. Ilithariús stayed for some months to pay his respect for his grandfather. During this stay he found his grandfather's ancient book The Metamortiga. Ilithariús also found new powers and spells during his stay, becoming a powerful Magus due to his young age, he took the title "Master" because of his adept skills in magic. After the stay in Booty Bay he ventured back to Silvermoon, only to be met with other sad news. Bartholemew had passed away, and left the ancient blade The Moonstriker to Ilithariús. That meant that Ilithariús now was the only living Moonstrider back.

Ilithariús now lives with his girlfriend Flaire, helping her in a plan to overtake the Circle of Magi.
